Mom and Sister time!

My Mom and sisters and I have a fun little tradition. Every September we get together for our annual birthday celebration and lunch. Above is from left to right, Kathi, me, Mom, and Kelli. Mom, Kelli and I all have birthdays within three weeks of each other. Kathi's birthday is in March, be we celebrate celebrate hers with us!
This time we went to a cute antique store that serves lunch. I ordered a delicious tomato bisque soup! Oh my goodness was it good! I love how they serve water in old canning jars!
We exchanged gifts, talked and laughed.
We also shopped!
I am so thankful for my awesome sisters and my mother. I am so thankful that we have this fun tradition together and that we are able to spend so much time together. I am truly blessed!

Can I ask that you say a prayer for my mother please, her and my father have been hit hard with a lot of stress and she could use prayers for joy and peace in their life.

"This is the Lord's doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!" Psalm 118:23-24

Love, Sharon

Sharon, I have had a hard two days missing my mom so much. A child just needs their mom when their sick. My brothers and wives do not stay close the boys seemed to be pulled the other way after marriage. I have one sister that has very bad back problems and all the special times when she and mom would come stay with me are gone. I always was thankful, but never knew the pain id feel when the day was gone.
Im so happy for you and the family. I know you treasure each day. The pictures are wonderful and one day that is what you will have to look back on. It hurts to look at mine still, but this was our time of year and the last time my mom came.I looked at one picture the other night and just couldn't. I guess it is to early, but just know I admire you. Your a great daughter, mom, sister and wife!

You're so fortunate to live nearby family, Sharon. I love reading about the closeness you and yours share, not only in proximity but in heart as well. Such sweet opportunities of togetherness, tenderness and wholesome fun.

I'm praying for your mother right after clicking on 'post.'

Blessings,

Happy birthday to all of the Rose Of Sharon ladies. I have two sisters and three brothers and our birthdays are all over the calendar. Our Mom lives 250 miles away from our area, so we don't get to see her as often as we would like. Luckily, she usually gets back here just around time for HER birthday which is in Summer. We get to celebrate her and that is so important for all of us. May our Moms enjoy many, many more happy days.

Prayers for your parents, Sharon...stay well!

I know this place! Ruthie B's in Springfield! It is amazing - both their goods for sale and their food! Their cupcakes are to die for! Yummy! Was just there in september and loved their fall decorations....wished I lived closer.

Hi Lynne, thank you for the kind comment! I'm glad that even though your mama is 250 miles a way you still get to see her every so often.

It looks like you, your sisters and mom had a winderful time doing the birthday celebration, Sharon. Your mom looks like such a sweetheart and of course I will keep her and your father in my prayers. Stress should be for us young ones who like to take it apart and examine it to pieces!!

When my mom was alive, we all got together at her house for coffee on Saturday mornings. It was a casual thing and often it wasn't even all of us (I have 5 sisters). That ended and I miss it. Appreciate (and I know you do) your precious time as a foursome.

Thanks for coming by my blog. Yours is lovely. I love the little candle cup you made. You are clever & creative!! :-)

xoxo
