Love rocks!

A few weeks ago our family floated the Umpqua river for three days and camped along the river for two nights. I was so excited because when we were camping I found two more rocks for my heart shaped rock collection! I had to sneak them in my duffel bag because my husband doesn't like me dragging rocks home because they add weight to the boat! Any way, I just wanted to share my new treasures!
My son, Hayden, and I started this collection several years ago and I usually add one or two new ones every summer. Click here to read more. I have them displayed all together in a flowerbed along our front walk.

I just don't know what I am going to do about my blogging. I really enjoy it and want to keep it up, but I just feel like I don't have time. We have been doing so many things lately and I have a lot of stories to tell, but they involve a lot of photos, which take a lot of time to crop and upload to blogger. I was having computer problems and now they are fixed, but then my camera broke. I also found a new little self indulgent hobby and that's with Facebook, which is so addcitive and time consuming! I am hoping to have a little down time this weekend to write some posts and get myself organized. I feel so bad because I have not been by to visit any of my blogging friends lately. I am hoping that I can get back into it like I was before, but I just don't know. Until then, please understand if there are days in between my posts and that I haven't been by to visit you.

I pray that the Lord will bless all of you!

"I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another." John 13:34

Hugs, Sharon

Sharon...I do love and would miss your blog if you were to stop, but I can understand the time it takes. I don't even HAVE a blog, and the time I spend reading my faves is a LOT!!!

RE: Facebook...I am too inept to follow that even though I have had lots of requests to be 'friends'. I don't even really remember signing up for it, but I must have at some point when I was feeling smart...LOL!! Half the time I forget my password, and when I do get on, I really don't know what I am doing, so F/B and I aren't close friends!

Your heart rocks are great...my g-daughter and I just put our first one in the garden this year. She went for a walk with Bumpa and carried it over a mile to bring it home to Grammie. She wrote "Form (sp) Kathryn 2009" on it, and I spray poly'ed it! She is almost 6...that rock will always be special. I showed her your post, and she smiled so happily that someone "copied HER idea" I have a feeling my rock is going to get company soon! LOL!!

Have a great day, and blog when ya can!

Sharon-
The "love rock" collection is so cute-I remember reading about that in an earlier post. I'm going to have to look for some rocks like that on our trip to the mountains! Blessings-

Hi Sharon, Love to read your blog, but completely understand how busy life can be. Especially with Facebook! I recently discovered FB too, and it has been so much fun catching up with old friends I haven't seen in 18 + years. I have to check myself on it, because it truly is addicting.

I love your heart shaped little rock garden. I used to live in AZ where we had rocks instead of grass for a front yard, and one day was feeling low and looked down and saw a heart-shaped rock. I took it as an "I love you" from God. I was going to bring it with me when we moved, but thought I'd leave it for the next family to find.

Hi Sharon! Just read your blog and just want you to know that I love rocks too. I found one here that was so heavy--but not so big--that it was a chore to lug it home. Now I have found two that I think are pestils (something like that), rocks the Indians carved down to pound corn with, or whatever.

Hope you are keeping cool there. I have heard that your heat will be here by Sunday. Have a cool evening. Oh, Jo joined facebook yesterday. Love, Helen

I love your little rock collection. I totally understand how you feel about blogging. I really just try to keep mine updated because my parents are on the road and love to read it. I used to follow so many blogs but now only read three or four. Yes, I have been crazy about Facebook too. Not long ago I had a big reunion in PA with all my elementary and middle school friends. It is so cool to reconnect with so many people on FB. I think it is so much nicer than the blog thing. It would be sad to see you go. I have always felt we had so much in common from having four boys, down to little things we like to collect :) So many times we have done similar posts in the same week! I hope you keep your blog up. Maybe you can just update less often. Don't leave us just yet ;)

I love those rocks...no pun intended, LOL! How beautiful and special!

I totally understand what you mean about blogging. I'm in the same boat. I'll only do it now as I have time, but the time that I spend off the internet is so edifying that I find that when I hop back on I'm swamped and weighed down. Does that make sense? I have to balance it, and I want to balance it.

Hey, I didn't even know that you did FB! I'm on there (friends with Brittany!), too. It's another thing that I have to prioritize, LOL! Oh, this darn technology. :o)

Happy weekend, Sharon! Enjoy that lovely family!

Sharen, I completely understand because I am in the same boat. However, if you post less frequently and shorter, pieces, it won't be so overwhelming. Love you!

That said, perhaps your blogging days are up. Pray about it and see what God says.

I would miss you as well! And I do agree, blogging is time consuming, but I still enjoy it. I don't post everyday as I use to, but hope when school starts life can slow down a bit for me. I'm on Facebook too. Friend me, if you want, Lois Behr Christensen. I've connected with a few other bloggers on FB and it's fun!

I absolutely LOVE your rocks!!

My sister has a huge heart-shaped rock collection too! She collects them on our family's island in Maine. I am always amazed at how many she finds, in all sizes!
