The boys cleaned out their rooms today..........

Oy vey! Cameron, Grayson and Hayden all cleaned their rooms and brought down the dishes that were in their rooms!
Can you believe it? They filled the sink! I was wondering where all our dishes went!
I didn't get mad though. I did, however, ask them that in the future they bring them down in a more timely manner.
We've all heard the phrase, "pick your battles" and for me, this little issue is not battle worthy. I realize that I have awesome sons who are all extremely busy and I am just not going to get mad at them for this little thing. I just have to laugh and be thankful that they are great kids. But hopefully in the future it won't get this bad!

Hope you have a great week!

I have some exciting news tomorrow!

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

Hugs, Sharon

I have this same exact problem! I don't get upset much about it either.

Good morning Sharon,
Reminds me of my brother when he was 15...however, he "chewed" tobacco & would leave his cups in his room. OR behind the couch! LOL Gross, gross, gross! ha ha Thankfully he quit that bad habit loooong ago.

Looking forward to hear the exciting news! Have a great week too!

Oh my word! And it didn't smell in their rooms?? They must have cleaned the dishes really well! You're great for not getting upset. I will remember this if it ever happens to me, to pick my battles as well! Enjoy your day. Will check back tomorrow to see what the news is!!

WOW...that brings back memories! My son used to save them up for days. As long as they weren't TOO old making the room smelly, life was good!

Have a great Monday!

I had to laugh out loud at this post, Sharon. I have the same challenge in my home. Lizzie and Charlotte. hehe but they end up washing their own. Now if I could just get Lizzie to bring home the forks (from work back to home) things would be just peachy. :o)

You're right in not making a fuss. We're on the same page.

I will have to show my daughter that will make her feel better. Usually she has 2 or 3 glasses but the other day half way through studying for and taking finals she had like 11 glasses. I too, was wondering but didn't stop to think she would have that many. She felt horrible but we were also laughing. So nice if that is some of the worst living with teenagers.

Sharon, You are a wise mother. I was there the day you had your sink full of dishes and you told me it was all from their bedrooms. You really are a good mother. Your boys really are kind and thoughtful; they are just very busy. I love that Kelly Willard song too. She's a favorite of mine Love you sweetie. Kathi
