Temporarily Closed..........

I am going to take a break from blogging for an undetermined amount of time. I am questioning myself as to why I blog and if I want to continue. I really enjoy the creative side of it and keeping a diary of my life. Also, I have made so many wonderful friends through blogging and I really do consider you my friends. I find myself thinking of you so often throughout my day and lifting you up in prayer. It makes me laugh sometimes when I am shopping and see something that reminds me of one of my blogging friends and I'll say, "so and so would really love this thing!" I love visiting your blogs and I love it when you visit mine. I am so thankful too for all of your encouragement and prayers for me too.

I would like my blog to be inspiring to people and that you see the Lord in my life, but lately I am feeling a bit uninspired. I think I just need a little break.

Since I started in August of 2007 I have written 605 posts with only a few short little breaks. I think that I just need a little vacation. I do feel that I have so much to say and have lots of pictures to share, so I am pretty sure I will be back. Perhaps when I come back I'll have a more relaxed posting schedule and not post every single day. I am planning on still visiting your blogs while I am on my break, so we can still keep in touch that way.
Hopefully I will be back soon.

May God richly bless all of you!

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

Your friend, Sharon

Wow, Sharon, do I ever understand! We were posting simultaneously, and my post today is an announcement that I'm cutting down to half-time blogging.

Blessings on you. I'll keep you in my Reader so I'll know when you come back.

I am sorry to hear you will take a break, but I understand you....
I hope you'll be back again. But it must be your own decision.
God bless you, and try to relax.

I'll miss you but I know how your feeling. I started my blog May of 2007 and have posted almost everyday, except when I was on vacation. I have decided to cut back to no posts on the weekend and I'm thinking of less during the week also. I love blogging tho and I know what you mean about seeing something and thinking, "oh so and so would love this", I've done it often.
I enjoy your blog very much, tho I can't always stop and comment I do read it all the time and I hope you don't stop blogging all together
Enjoy your time off tho and I look forward to seeing your posts again.

I understand but I will miss you. Praying for you as He leads. You need to know that your posts about your family have been inspiring to me--renewed my hope each time I read about families with God seeking goals that God does have great boys out there for my girls...they really do exist. I hear so much yuck from the world and from my girls about what they see in the world and it makes me wonder where the godly boys are...peeking into your family reminds me that they are out there.

I will miss reading your blogs, but look forward to your returning. You are VERY inspiring to me. I was just telling a girlfriend last night about your blog. You are a mother of all boys just like me, yet I see the Lord in your life. I have many godly women in my life but to see a godly mother to all boys just like me is so encouraging. I admire you in so many ways. I love your love of vintage things too. So, you are a wonderful lady and probably my favorite blog to read. Enjoy your break though. I understand! I have to schedule my posts because if I didn't, I think I would be taking alot of breaks myself.

Sharon, Enjoy your break. You will come back refreshed with inspriation. I love reading your blog. You always make me smile and encourage me. I myself cannot keep up with blogging as well as you have. I have too much on my plate at the moment. I love doing it, but find I get behind in my family. I think it's all a balance. I like what Robin said on her blog. She has a sign that says "Blogging Without Obligation." That made me feel better. I love you and hope you have a wonderful week. Love, Kathi

I hope you have an enjoyable break and I also hope you decide to continue blogging. Your blog is one of the first ones I look at every day and I like reading what you have to say about family and life. However, after 605 posts I can imagine you would be ready for a rest.

Dear Sharon,

Sorry to bother you again, but I have noticed that I seem to be able to find my blog from yahoo. A page will come up that says the blog may not exist, but if I click that link, I can reach it. There seems to be another blog with a similar name, but mine was just started a few days ago. My husband and teenagers have gotten a huge kick out of Mom's missing blog! Thanks again!

Dear Sharon,
I do hope you have a wonderful break and get some rest. But please come back! I don't have a blog site as of yet. Blogging sites likes yours just inspire me so very much! It is really what has gotten me thinking about starting one. Yours is the first one I go to each morning. It's just so wonderful to know families like yours do exist. It really fills my heat with warm feelings and much love. Hope to see you back soon!

I will miss your sweet posts and the scriptures that you put up, which by the way todays verse is one of my favorites. God gave me this when I was going through a tough time in my life and I have always clung to it.

I have never met you physically, but I feel as though I have known you for a long time.

I feel the same as you do about my fellow bloggers

I want to thank you for all of your encouraging words. They always came when I was very discouraged about blogging.

I will be looking for your return. May God richly bless and keep you and yours.

You are going to be greatly missed. I hope that you will not be away for long. I know how much time can be consumed by this computer and that is why I myself do not blog everyday. You were on of my first readers when I started blogging and I will miss your encouraging words. I hope you enjoy your time away from us. Try to refresh you mind, heart and spirit. Hi Sharon,

Oh, I know you have to do what the Lord leads in this situation, but I do hope you will be back soon. Your blog is my very favorite - I read it everyday. I have loved hearing about your 4 sons because I have 3. I love to hear about raising them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord and the fruit you have reaped from that as in a lovely new daughter.

You have written so many posts and I have only read for a little over a year, but I do feel like you are a friend. Reading about your family and the way you love being a wife and mom is an inspiration to young women everywhere (you are inspiring to me even though I am in my fifties and my husband and I now have 5 grandchildren). lol. I love the way you decorate, meals you make and your shopping for vintage. But, most of all, your testimony and living for God shines through.

Sharon, I do know that you have to do what fits in to your serving the Lord first, but I do hope that you will be back and soon. It looks like 35 other friends have said about the same thing. lol. You will be missed.

I guess I shouldn't talk, though, I have had my blog up for awhile now and have rarely posted to it.

I am missing your blog already, as this is the first one I read each day. I know life is very busy for everyone, but you do so many extra things for others, and your blog is a ministry for your readers. I can tell you are a devoted wife, mother, friend and most important - CHRISTIAN. Your daily bible verses are encouraging to me. It is surprising how often that I read one of these verese and think - this is just what I need for today. I often read your blog and wonder HOW DOES SHE FIND TIME TO
DO ALL THIS. Take a much deserved
break, pray for God to guide you.
You will be in the prayers of your readers. I hope you will be able to come back to blogging to inspire so many of your readers.

When it starts to become a chore, it's time to take a break. Sounds like you're making the right decision.

Do know, though, that your blog is a huge inspiration to many many people! Probably more than you realize. :)

I won't lie - I'm going to miss you, mama! But, I totally understand. It's something that I've done myself. Cutting back came naturally after we had to move in with my family during the last phase of buying our new home, and then it definitely happened after Libby was born. Like you, I have so much to share and tend to "think in posts", LOL, but getting on every few days instead of every day is the only thing possible for me right now. I love reading your blog and will love it no matter if you post every day or once a month!

Have a very blessed vaca, Sharon!

Hi Sharon,
Like others have said, your blog is a bright spot in my day and usually the first I read of many! I miss your posts but understand your need to take a break. It's clear you put a lot of time and TLC into your posts. They never get dull and you always have something interesting to tell or show us. I hope you're taking a break to rest/re-energize, not because you think your posts aren't interesting. They most definitely are and it's clear you have many fans (bloggers and non-bloggers such as myself). You are an amazing wife and mom and set such a good example for us all!

Army, or Goodwill etc. I can't wait for garage sales to start soon. I've already planned on keeping my eye out for needlepoints for you! Or cute little vintage figurines. Oh, and a Sept. girl.

Take care & I hope to see you soon. God bless!

Hi Sharon.
I really miss your blogs.
I think that you are an awesome wife and mother. And as I have 2 teenaged sons, I really apprciate seeing how you interact with yours.
Thanks for all of the advice.
I don't know how you do it all with the housekeeping, nurturing the family, the dog, entertaining and a job. I certainly don't do half as good a job as you do.
I hope you are getting some rest.
You certainly deserve it!

I'm in blog withdrawal!! I found your blog last September while looking for a pork roast recipe (it was yummy BTW) and I've checked on you many times since. I think I'm considered a 'lurker' because I don't comment but I'd like you to know how many times I've admired your commitment to faith and family. It truly is the little things in life that mean the most and it was fun to read about your day to day activities. I hope that you are feeling rested and well and are enjoying your family. I know you have had more impact on others than you'll ever know. May God be with as you continue on life's journey. Best wishes, Kim

I guess you do need a break. I've also cut back on my blogging. You might also consider Facebook or Twitter because they don't take as much time and then post less often. Just a suggestion.

How are you adjusting to all life's changes? It looks like I'm getting ready for more.

We'll miss you while you're gone!
