I'm supposed to be buying for others right?????

I was at the Goodwill the other day and look what I spotted! At first glance from this angle, it looks like a needlepoint picture of some roses.
I headed over to it and grabbed it and upon further inspection......yes, it is a needlepoint stitching! I love the colors, it will look perfect in my house! Oh my goodness, I want this, but I have one more hurdle to jump.....how much does it cost????
I turned it around and............yesssss!!!! It is only .99 cents!
Look at the fine craftsmanship of this stitching. I just love needlepoint work! I collect them and have about two dozen.
Okay.....I can't resist, it's going in the cart!
I know I'm supposed to be shopping for others, but can't I just spend .99 cents on myself?
Well, I obviously decided to buy it and it is already up on my wall! I put it in the master bedroom above two other needlepoint pictures.
I think it is made to hang the long way, but I hung it on it's side and I like it that way. It looks perfect here! I think it was meant to be! :0)

Have a great day!

Merry Christmas!

"Anxiety in a man's heart weighs it down, but an encouraging word makes it glad." Proverbs 12:25

Love, Sharon

P.S. I want to thank all of you again so much for your prayers and your kind words of encouragement. My spirits have lifted greatly. It feels so good to have so many wonderful, supportive friends and it feels good knowing that I am not alone. You guys gave me such good advice and words of encouragment, I really, really appreciate all of you!

Hi, Sharon. I didn't get to comment the other day, but I wanted to say thank you for being so honest about your Christmas this year. It was so good for me to read as I have three small children (6, 4, 1) and I sometimes forget to appreciate where I am today. It also made me more aware of how my parents and my in-laws feel at Christmas. It is really hard to travel to see them with three young ones, but your post made me realize that the difficulty for us is outweighed by the blessing for them. Thanks!

GLORY, I do believe God sent a hug down with your find. That needlepoint does look like it was made for your bedroom. THANK YOU JESUS for lifting Sharon's spirits.
I think it's so cool how heavy hearts shared in the blogging world can stir up others to help lift our loads. God is good!

That's so beautiful. It's kind of sad to think of someone's hard work being valued so cheaply. That's why I'm doubly glad you bought it: first, because I know you appreciate the skill and second, because you bought yourself a present.

Blessings on you. I wont be blogging on the two holidays, so Merry Christmas.

Good Morning! That needlepoint goes so well with your home. I'm pretty sure it's ok to spend 99 cents on yourself! Don't fret. :)

I had a great time with you on Sunday! I'm glad it helped to be around family, to lift your spirits. You will get through this time. It is a change but change is good and it brings about new things! Plus, in a few years you'll probably have some little ones around!

Love you! See you tomorrow!

Sharon, What a beautiful needlepoint find and only 99 cents!
Looks great on the wall you chose.
I suffer from the one for you, one for me syndrome, I mean if I'm buying gifts whay not buy for me. It natural. (just kidding, even though sometimes I do this)
Have a Blessed day!

It looks beautiful, I need to start shopping at the Goodwill more often. I love that verse you shared today, Im going to write it on a card and glue a magnet to the back so it can hang on my fridge:)) I love your rose room. Justin insists that the house decor be kept nuetral, I dont think thats fair, he is never here:( Oh I forgot to share with you, my son attended church Sunday night, it was to see his sister perform but atleast it was a start in the right direction. I dont understand him, he believes in Aliens but not God. It is heartbreaking:(

My computer has been down - so just now getting around to visiting. I read your previous blog about the empty nest. And what everyone else said is true - it will get better - but it is sad at the time you are going through it. I remember a Dr saying once that all change (even good change) is processed as grief - so it's natural to feel that way. I remember so well when ours were all growing up - our 2 girls both got married in the same year, and the first year our son didn't come home for the summer (he was going to college out of state and stayed there to work) I was feeling very sad.

My Hubby and I started doing things we hadn't been able to do together before when we were still raising and nuturing children. And our relationship developed into a sweeter thing. As the years have gone by, we have enjoyed grandchildren and now great grandchildren. I also have found it special to pour my love into others in our Church family who need encouragement and care.

So times change - but it is the changing of the seasons of life. And all the seasons are wonderful and special as you go through them.

Hugs. Ruthie

That is a beautiful picture
Sharon. And it looks so pretty on your wall.
I am so glad I finally starting putting comments on your wonderful blog.
After reading from just about day one. You are beautiful on the outside as
well as the inside.
My 2 year old one and only
grandbaby. I will not see
her at Christmas. As she lives in Utah,
But I am treating myself
to flight out there to see
her in Jan. Thanks again
for the gift of your blog.
As an RN I am so happy I will not be working Christmas Day!
God Bless You Sharon!
You are a special lady!

What beautiful finds! I love that little cardinal tucked away in your cart. :o) We now live about 3 minutes away from a Goodwill and I'm over the moon about it. I think about you every time I'm there. :o) I also think that with our move we pretty much contributed their entire inventory, LOL, but I know that it's a great cause and that my junk is a treasure to someone else.

Praying that you guys enjoy a very very very blessed Christmas!
