A beautiful tray.........

Look at this fabulous giant tole painted tray that I found at the Goodwill! I just love it! it was only $4.99! I grabbed up this baby so fast!
It is vintage, probably from the 60s. Gosh, if things from the 60s are vintage, what does that make me??? LOL!
I love the hand painted flowers. It is an awesome tray. I love the antique look of it.
The reason why I wanted such an over sized tray is because about a year ago I found this cool waiter's tray holder/stand.
I always knew that someday I would find the perfect tray for it. I wanted to use it to serve tea or use it as a little side table for a big meal.
But, when I put the tray on the stand, it didn't look quite right. A light bulb came on in my head and I thought, I'll just paint the stand!
So I took the stand outside and painted it.
I bought a cream colored paint.
Unfortunately after painting the stand and it dried, I set the tray on it and it didn't look right, it was not the right color. So back to the hardware store I went and this time I bought a butter yellow spray paint.
Yes, this is a true picture, not staged. I am bad and I spray pain in regular clothes. I have been pray painting for probably 23 years and I never get it on my clothes.
This is the new paint I bought and I love it, it covered so nicely and it's the perfect color.
Look at how that matches! I think it looks great!
Anyone for tea?
This will be so much fun to use for company!
What a great portable table and it holds a lot!
I enjoyed putting this little table scape together.
The roses are from my rose bush in my front yard.
And where does a girl store such a big tray? She adds it to her decor of course!
I think it looks perfect here! Come on over sometime for high tea with me!

Have a happy Thursday!

Good morning Sharon,
I love your tray ~ what a great deal. I have 4 trays very similar to that one & I love them. Two are yellow, one white, & the other black (which is a TV tray.) I have them arranged on my kitchen wall around the stove. We rent this apt. & there were holes in the wall, like someone punched them! The trays cover them nicely. :o)

I love what you did w/it. You're so clever & creative. The butter yellow on the stand is the perfect compliment to the tray. Great job!

Hugs,
Mardell

Mardell,

Hello! What a clever way for you to hide the holes in the walls. Don't you just wonder about people who smash holes in the walls....crazy! I would love to see pictures of your trays, they sound beautiful.

Have a great day!

I just love your taste in decor it's so warm, cozy and elegant! I'll have to keep my eye out for more things at the goodwill, yours seem like they have so, so many great things. God is so good to give us these little blessings, there not little in God's eyes because he cares about even those things and cheers us up and makes us happy and reminds us he loves us. Im so happy to serve a God that cares and loves us so much! =)

God bless Sharon!

I am so sorry that you could not read what I wrote.
Didn't the translator work?
It works to me. I made a kind of rolls, and it is very good, but that doesn't help when you can not read it. Again I am sorry. Maybe I need to translate again. I don't hope so.

that is a pretty tray- and the final paint matches perfectly. it looks especially lovely with your pretty tea arrangement on there. you could leave it up all the time- just to look at and admire. don't you just love all things to do with tea? so pretty! i like to make arrangements also- then i take a picture of them and put it all away- but i think i will start leaving them alone and enjoy them for awhile. why not? :)

ps
i never get messy either with spray paint- such a great way to paint- although i am painting a wicker chair right now- between coats- and it is taking forever and lots of paint to cover! any tips??

God bless!
