Home for Lunch!

If you recall, my third son, Grayson, got his license back in November. He bought a little truck and is totally mobile now! There are lots of worries and concerns that a parent has when your child starts driving, but there are also so many benefits to them driving. The obvious are, they can drive themselves to school and to work and they can help around the house by running errands. I wanted to tell you about one more nice thing about your child being able to drive.......they can come home for lunch! Grayson comes home for lunch about once or twice a week and it is such a nice treat for me. On this day he came home and I made grilled cheese sandwiches for the two of us. It is so fun to share lunch and have a nice conversation. I remember my older two boys doing this as well. It is really fun.

"You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore. " Psalm 16:11

Hugs, Sharon

How nice that you get to have lunch with Grayson just the two of you. It is these special moments that mean the most after they are grown.
Have a great day

Sharon,

How sweet! I love when my kids drop by. It is a treat to see them as often as they can come. I'd gladly drop anything to enjoy special time with them! :)

Hi Sharon,
How sweet! Nothing like having Mother/Son moments!

I have two kids driving now with their own vehicles. And I too, get nervous from time to time. It's natural though ~ afterall, we're mothers! :o)

First let me comment on your previous post and say Happy birthday to your Eric. You have to know how fortunate you are that you've been blessed with such a loving husband.
Second...another blessing! You get to have lunch with that handsome son of yours every few days! I love when my daughter is around and we can go to breakfast or have lunch together. Such a time of coming together!

Sharon, What a wonderful blessing. It is so great that he actually wants to talk with you and be with you, especially at the age of 17. You have done such a good job raising all your boys. They all love and respect you so much, and want to be with you.

I love you, Kathi

Oh, the blessings that can come with trusting. I have one that has been driving for awhile now and the second about to take the final leap in a few months. It is a walk of faith to be sure...but oh the blessings when we let go and trust God with our hearts that are driving about on their own! LOL!

Hi Mardell! Aren't you glad you have the Lord in your life! We get to just pray over our kids and know that they are in our Father in Heaven's arms! Sometimes (a lot of times) I take back my worries, but God is so faithful and good and He watches over them. I often pray that God has His angels surrounding the vehicle and that the angels are sitting right there in the car with them!

Have a great evening!
