Welcome to Sharino's Restaurant

Last Thursday night Grayson invited his sweetie, Rachelle, over for dinner. I wanted to make it special, so I opened up my restaurant "Sharino's". Well, it is my version of an Italian restaurant!

I have done this several times over the years with all my kids. I just put out a red checkered tablecloth and set out my old bottles of wine with drippy candles in them and put on Italian music. I made spaghetti, green salad and garlic bread. We had sparkling cider in pretty red crystal wine glasses. Sometimes when we have a crowd I set up card tables in the living room and decorate them the same way.

It is so fun, it feels like we're really at a restaurant. We had such a lovely dinner and visit with Rachelle. It was a great night. Grayson and Rachelle were both very grateful and later he told me thank you for making their evening so special. He put this picture on his phone and said it looks like he took Rachelle on a "real" date. I like to show my family they are special to me in little ways like this!

"Jesus replied, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it, Love your neighbor as yourself." Mathew 22:37-39

Fondly~ Sharon

What fun! It looks like favorite restraunt The Italian Couple! ;) Why is it that moms of sons are always so sweet? I had a coworker who was (and is) so dear to my heart. She had four sons and was always doing special things like this for others. Hmmm... guess there must be a 'moms of sons rock' club out there. :)

I'm so excited that you posted this. I've always loved your creative restaurants. I loved it when we were in town and you opened up the restaurant just for us. Everything was authentic and delicious. You also have a Mexican "restaurant" for Cinco de Mayo right?

You have got me excited for opening my own "restaurants" in my home. On the adjenda are Asian, Greek, German/Austrian, French, Italian and Mexican. Oh what fun to have great food, decorations and music. Can't wait. You are the one who sparked my interest. Love this post, and love you.

"Ciao" Kathi

You, Ms. Sharon, are a good Momma. I enjoyed the pictures very much. I may give this a try at my house, but Hubby will have to cook. Jennifer

Oh, that was very nice! I am sure you enjoyed yourselves, and I'm sure it was just like an italian restaurant as well.

Now that's a good Momma! I hope that when my sons start dating I'll be sweet enough to do the same thing. But somehow I get the feeling that I'm going to be one of those overprotective Italian mothers and yell at the girls to stay away from my babies.
