Show and Tell - Shadow Box

Today is Show and Tell over at Kelli's blog, There is No Place Like Home. You should go over to her blog and check it out, it is really fun.

Today I would like to share my Christmas shadow box.

I found this cute shadow box at Goodwill a few years ago. I just love it. It has a post marked stamp dated 1972. I remember that making shadow boxes was a big home craft in the 70s.

I just think it is so cute because it is red and has the cute red and white polka dot paper in the background. It has all kinds of cute Christmas trinkets in it.

Have a happy New Year!

~ Sharon

Cute shadow box- but what I really love is that old bread box! I have two old bread boxes but yours looks way older than mine. Does it have a cutting board on the inside of the door?

Very cute. I am sure I made one of these in the 70's too.

That shadow box is too precious!

I've been reading some of your older posts and I love all your vintage decorations and kitchen items. Those are exactly the kind of things I look for when visiting thrift and antique shops.

Dear Sharon,

First of all, I hope your Christmas was merry and bright! We had a bit of snow, too but it soon melted away, now it's just cold, windy and rainy over here. ;-((

Your shaddow box (never heart that name before) is very special indeed. I very much like its red colour, too. It looks very Christmassy!

Happy New Year to you and your family!

Best wishes from Germany, Anita
