October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Jan over at Bold & Free is having a breast cancer "Breast Friends" event going on at her blog. You can list a woman that needs prayer for breast cancer or give a praise report if you have one. They also would like to honor the memory of women who have passed away from breast cancer and you can list her name to be remembered.

I hope that you will check it out and somehow find a way to support the fight against breast cancer.

I recently wrote about meeting one of my neighbors at a doctor appointment and finding out she has breast cancer (click here). I didn't even know here name, but left a note on her door and we finally spoke on the phone. Her name is Brenda. She had part of her breast removed last December and has gone through chemo and radiation. She has been doing pretty well, but needs to go have another mammogram on October 11th because they found another lump. She has a strong faith in God and sounds pretty positive, but she says she is scared. Breast cancer is so evasive and can be aggressive. May I ask that you please lift her up in prayer. Thank you so much. My prayers go out to any woman who is dealing with breast cancer.

Find a cure, fight Breast Cancer.
