More Labor Day Fun

On Sunday afternoon after our day at the lake and after we ate dinner, Grayson pulled out his riding lawn mower that he converted to a cool Go Kart and demonstrated it's qualities. He also brought out his 10 foot tall trebuchet that he made with a friend and he catapulted several potatoes down the street for our enjoyment. Grayson really enjoys making things and having projects to do. He converted an old bike into a motorized bike by adding a weed wacker motor to it. I really encourage these projects that he does because it keeps him really busy doing constructive work and he is learning so much. Eric and I both support it (we support all of the boys hobbies) and will run him around to funny shops and junk yards to get parts because it is a healthy hobby. We do stress, however, that he is safe and careful and abide by the law! He is definitely an engineer and it will be interesting to see if he ends up being in that field as an adult.

That is so neat--I have never heard of a trebuchet, until I saw it on the Little People, Big World show.
